In 2004, Busan Station was expanded and renovated in line with the opening of the Gyeongbu High-Speed Railway. The station has land area of 211,536㎡, building area of 38,946㎡, and total floor area of 61,880㎡. It was constructed with a steel frame and reinforced concrete with 5 floors above the ground and 1 below. It has central heating and air conditioning facilities, 10 escalators and 11 elevators. The 16,457㎡ parking lot can hold 245 passenger cars.
