동래구 명륜동 동래문화회관 주차장에 초급, 중급 및 고급용 수준별 암벽코스를 갖춘 국제경기규격(높이 15.3m, 폭 15m)의 인공 암벽장이 설치되어 계절과 날씨에 관계 없이 누구나 스포츠 클라이밍을 즐길 수 있다.

특히 워킹 위주의 등산에서 탈피한 암벽등반 동호인들이 늘고 있는 데다가 암벽 등반이 전신운동인으로 신체 균형감각 및 유연성에 탁월한 효과가 있어 초보자들이 많이 늘고 있는 추세며 국내외 암벽대회는 물론 축제행사와 연계한 암벽체험 행사를 개최하여 색다른 볼거리와 체험거리로 주목 받고 있다
